Our partners

It’s our philosophy that people come first - our partners, our suppliers and our staff.

We’ve built a company around good people doing a great job for businesses full of kiwis making, distributing and selling outstanding products around the globe.

WineWorks

WineWorks was founded in 1995 with a vision to add value to the wine industry. Their facilities provide world-class technology across the country and approach each project with high standards of quality and exceptional service. By looking after the logistics of bottling, that allows the winemakers to concentrate on what they do best; working their magic to produce some of the best wines in the world.

“Our joint venture partnership with Central Express is an integral part of our distribution services. WineWorks is a multi-regional company, providing bottling, warehousing, and distribution to local winemakers for any market.”

Indevin

Indevin is a New Zealand success story growing from its origins in 2003 to become the largest New Zealand wine producer in under 20 years.

As one of New Zealand’s leading producers of high-quality wine, Indevin has pioneered innovative New Zealand wine industry practices for years from wine growing, wine making, wine partnerships to a trusted global supply chain. In September 2021, Indevin purchased Villa Maria which gave Indevin even more access to some of the best NZ vineyards and of course the much-loved Villa Maria brand.

Currently, Indevin has access to approximately 20% of New Zealand’s total grape supply. Indevin’s grapes come from over 6,000 hectares of planted vineyards and blended in its wineries across three of the great New Zealand wine regions – Marlborough, Hawke’s Bay, and Gisborne – giving them unmatched scale and consistent supply of New Zealand wine.

With global distribution and partnerships in the largest markets, Indevin is consistently adding value for the future of the New Zealand wine industry.

“We have worked with Central Express team since 2008 and appreciate their commitment to provide solutions for our growing business. They are real people with a personal approach to everything they do, which aligns with our goal to provide world-class service with all our partners around the world.”

Port Nelson

CEL and Port Nelson joined forces to create QuayConnect - an award-winning integrated logistics company designed to optimise the inward and outward flow of goods, initially for the South Island wine industry.

QuayConnect has grown rapidly, and now shifts the majority of wine-associated haulage between Marlborough and Port Nelson - while substantially reducing truck movements, road hours, fuel consumption, and carbon outputs.

"The success of QuayConnect can ultimately be attributed to the collaborative approach we take to business with our key partners – CEL are one of these key partners. This partnership has played a key role in enabling us to build our service offering on the back of a world class customer experience and uncompromising determination to deliver on our promises. CEL partner with us to continuously seeking operational improvement opportunities and more importantly improvements in the sustainability space."
